Located in Tuy Phong District, about 110km away from Phan Thiet city (Binh Thuan province), Cu Lao Cau or Cau island is a popular destination for travel lovers thanks to its smooth sandy beach, blue seawater, and impressive rocks.

From the mainland, the island looks like a kingdom of bizarre shaped stone. Since tourists are attracted by its surrounding blue and clean water, it is also known as a diving paradise

The island is administered by Border Defense Force, so if you want to stay overnight there, you have to ask for permission. Besides, you should bring your own tents and sleeping bags because there aren’t any hotels or guest houses in the island. Most of tourists get to the island in the morning and go back in the afternoon.

Cu Lao Cau is a small island, so maybe one day is enough for you discover its famous destinations: “Love” cave, Yen cave, Ba Hon cave, coral beach, Nam Hai temple, etc. Nothing is as wonderful as leaving noisy cities to enjoy peaceful nature there with outdoor activities like: swimming, sunbathing, lighting a campfire, grilling seafood on the beach, enjoying songs accompanied by guitar, etc.

There are many ways to get to Cu Lao Cau, including leaving from the ports of Phuoc The commune, Vinh Tan commune, Lien Huong town (Binh Thuan province) or Ca Na commune (Ninh Thuan province).
