Building tourism products in Duc Linh district

During 2 days (September 19 - 20), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Duc Linh district to organize a survey program and develop tourism products in Duc Linh district. Attending were the Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, leaders of Duc Linh district and consultants on branding and tourism products.

In Duc Linh district, the delegation was guided to visit and survey the actual potential and strengths for tourism development, famous tourist attractions and tourism service establishments such as: Mountain areas Train, Khang Thuy tourist area (Dong Ha commune); Tra Tan lake (Tan Ha commune); Nach stream (Duc Tin commune); Snail Trai, Pho Binh Areca Garden (Vo Xu Town); Bau Sen, Dong Xanh tourist area (Sung Nhon commune), Son Thuy eco-tourism area (Me Pu commune)... Duc Linh is a mountainous district, located in the west of Binh Thuan province, 120km from the center of Phan Thiet city. , 140km from Ho Chi Minh City, adjacent to a number of localities in Dong Nai province, area of ​​280km2, population of 140,000 people with the majority being Kinh, K'Ho and Chau Ro ethnic groups. In particular, the La Nga River flows through most of the 12 communes and towns of the district with a length of 73.km... which are advantages and potential for tourism development.

In addition to the field trip and survey program, Duc Linh district also held a meeting to evaluate the potential status, infrastructure and development orientation of Duc Linh district's tourism products. According to expert Phan Yen Ly, Product Director of Say Cheese Events and Communications Company, with many potential advantages in geographical location, natural landscape, terrain, weather, climate, and residential community, Multicultural population, rich agricultural products... Duc Linh district has many opportunities to develop unique tourism products in particular and develop the tourism industry in general. In particular, each commune and each locality should best exploit their own advantages to build their own products, both creating more diversity in products and reducing competition with each other in the business process.

Participating in the meeting, representatives of a number of businesses that have been investing in the tourism industry, leaders of communes and towns in the district raised difficulties in capital, infrastructure, and product shaping. Specifically, investment in various types of services, lack of human resources, and "soft" skills in management, operation and business of the tourism service industry. Master Phan Buu Toan, Vice Principal of Saigon Tourism College, suggested: "Based on its advantages, the district should exploit well both natural and cultural - social resources to build products." suitable for the locality, creating its own inviting appeal and attracting domestic and international tourists. In addition, it is necessary to improve policies related to investment in building tourism products, paying attention to the training of human resources in professional skills, behavioral skills, management skills, and product construction.
